The Superthings franchise has captivated boys and girls, consistently ranking as a top-selling brand in major markets, such as Spain, UK or Poland, where, since 2020, has been in the top 5 best-selling action figure collectible toys. Superthings is not just a toy line but it is a cultural phenomenon for loyal  fans, with over 250 events, expo, meet & greet and live shows.

Superthings: Rivals of Kaboom will follow the adventures of young heroes as they face thrilling challenges in Kaboom City, where ordinary objects transform into heroes and villains with extraordinary powers. With an initial 52-episode run, the  series is set to capture the imagination of kids everywhere when it launches in Q4  2024, with a second wave of episodes slated for release in Q2 2025.

Ivan Diaz, Head of International at Filmax, added:

We believe Liquid Rock, with its long-standing expertise, is the ideal partner to complement our efforts and elevate  the international distribution of the series. This allows Filmax to focus on the international theatrical release of the Superthings movie, coming to theaters in 2026.

Xavi Mas, Co-Founder of Liquid Rock Entertainment, said:

We are excited to partner with Magicbox, Tandem and Filmax on this groundbreaking project. Superthings has a rich and powerful universe of exciting  characters which connect with girls & boys. We look forward to bringing the series  to the next level and build together a strategic plan with all parties involved.

Magicbox has established a long-term toy rollout strategy for different markets co ordinated with Liquid Rock and with the support of the Superthings theatrical release in 2026 by Filmax and the production effort of Tandem Films,  and Turanga Animation Studios.

TVE, 3CAT and A Punt are co-producers of the series, with a 2nd Season already in development.

David Bella, CEO of Magicbox, said:

We’re thrilled about the incredible  audiovisual commitment surrounding our IP, which includes both an animated series and a movie. It’s exciting to know that the millions of kids who have played  with our Superthings toys will soon see their favorite characters come to life on screen. As an internationally successful toy brand, Superthings is now poised to  reach new heights with the animated series and we’re especially excited to partner  with Liquid Rock, who are the perfect team to elevate this series to a global  audience.
