Louca, the CGI-animated adaptation of the hit French comic book series, distributed by Studio 100 International, is heading to MIPCOM with an impressive lineup of broadcast and streaming partners already on board.

Ahead of the market, the series has secured multiple pre-sales and co-production deals, led by commissioning broadcaster TF1. Additional partners include RTBF (Belgium), TFOU Max (France), RTS (Switzerland), TV5 Monde – with several more in final negotiations.

Louca is a co-production between French producer Media Valley (Gifted, Zoom the White Dolphin, Nicholas’s Fantastic Summer) and Belgian producer Belvision (Marsupilamis, Monster Loving Maniacs). The series is based on the best-selling comic books published by Dupuis, which have sold over one million copies in French-speaking territories alone and have been translated into English, Danish, Polish and Flemish. Directed by Cyril Adam (Miraculous Ladybug), the series brings the beloved character to the screen for the first time.

This high-end CGI animated comedy (26 x 22’) follows Louca, a kind-hearted but clumsy teenager who dreams of becoming a football hero – with a little help from Nathan, the ghost of his school’s former team captain. Only Louca can see Nathan, and together they navigate friendship, self-belief, and the unpredictable highs and lows of growing up.

Production is supported by France’s CNC, the Grand Est and Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regions, the Département de Charente, Eurométropole Strasbourg, and Belgium’s Wallimage, with the participation of SOFICA Cinecap 9 and CINEAXE 7.

In addition to worldwide audiovisual distribution rights, Studio 100 International is also handling global licensing and merchandising, with TF1 Licensing managing these rights in French-speaking territories.

The first episodes are set for delivery by the end of first half of 2026 – perfectly timed for the FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States – with full delivery planned for the second half of 2026.
