UAE-based producer and distributor TwelveP Animation is set to showcase the first animation for Dynowish, its much-anticipated new series based on the best-selling children’s books from author Paola Myriam Visconti, also co-producer and creative producer on the show. The new teaser, along with the show bible and initial scripts, will be unveiled at the upcoming Annecy Festival and MIFA market.

TwelveP and Paola Myriam Visconti will be at the market seeking out and meeting with potential co-production partners for the series. The storyboard, created by Simona Cornacchia has been completed. The 52×11 series is anticipated to premiere worldwide in 2027.

TwelveP, based out of Abu Dhabi and known for its record of successfully managing children’s IP, was the first partner to invest in the development of Dynowish as an animated series. TwelveP’s expertise lies in applying a 360-degree approach to managing kids’ entertainment and a strong international distribution network, which currently covers 80 countries around the world.

Renowned scriptwriter, comic book creator, story editor, and producer Francesco Artibani wrote the pilot episode for the series and has now completed two additional scripts to accompany the Bible. Artibani has held positions with the Walt Disney Company Italia and has worked on such projects as Winx Club, Rainbow production and World of Winx, W.I.T.C.H, Monsters & Pirates and Pop Pixie. He has also produced miniseries for Panini/Marvel, including X-Campus and has edited Italian editions of comics including Bone, Elfquest, and Simpsons. He is co-creator of the Monster Allergy comic book series.

The design for the new series is led by Luigi Aimè, known for his work with Disney and Pixar.

The central character in the story is Dynowish, who stands alongside two siblings, Ginny and Leo, co-protagonists in this epic adventure. Together, they must face Arzimor, an evil sorcerer determined to harness the energy of dreams to fuel his power and twist them into nightmares. Only Dynowish, the legendary Protector of Dreams, together with the two young heroes, can stop him and restore hope to the dream world. At the heart of the Dynowish saga lies a powerful message: the importance of dreams and the need to protect them.

Katerina Pshenitsyna, General manager, TwelveP Animation, said:

It’s amazing to see how the momentum for Dynowish has continued to grow in just the few short months since we announced the project at MIPCOM. The market is clearly poised to embrace the universal themes of Dynowish and its inspiring messages. We look forward to introducing our new assets at Annecy and taking this dynamic project to the next level.

The presence of Dynowish at Annecy and MIFA follows its recent high-profile appearance at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, where the release of Dynowish: The Moon Lily, the newest title in the books for children 7-11, was celebrated with the unveiling of a golden sculpture and the appearance of Visconti on two high profile panels.

Paola Myriam Visconti said:

I was thrilled by the incredible reception Dynowish received at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Seeing how the world of dreams and imagination resonated with so many fills me with gratitude and inspiration. We are excited to announce that we are bringing the Dynowish saga to new territories soon, continuing to share the message of hope and the power of dreams.

Paola Myriam Visconti’s Dynowish books, from renowned Florentine publishing house Giunti Editore, in both English and Italian, have achieved great success in Italy and the Middle East. The Dynowish series also includes Dynowish and the True Story of the Abandoned Dreams, the prequel to the nine-book saga Dynowish: The Protector of Dreams, whose first volume is Tears of the Moon. Paola has also published the spin-off Dynowish: Mission Clean Planet, a story that emphasizes the importance of dreams that uplift others and protect the planet.

Visconti and her husband are co-founders of the Dynowish Foundation, whose mission is to support children worldwide, particularly the less fortunate, in pursuing their dreams.
