Academy Award®-nominated French animation studio Xilam Animation has inked a wave of new global licensing partnerships across its slate of new and beloved series including Zig & Sharko, Space Goofs, Buddybot and Oggy and the Cockroaches.

Chloé Menier, Brand Manager at Xilam Animation, said:

Across our slate, we’re looking to give fans fresh and creative ways to engage with their favourite characters beyond the screen. These new partnerships demonstrate the strength of our brands and diversity of their appeal – everyone from children, adults and kidults from around the world can show their love for both our legacy and new titles with a variety of touchpoints from games to apparel. We’re looking forward to building on these collaborations as we continue to drive growth within our licensing activity, as well as meeting with new and existing partners.

Xilam is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its globally loved non-dialogue slapstick comedy series Zig & Sharko, with a line-up of activations and new partnerships launching this year. Game Plak’ will launch a new marble board game, which will be available across Europe in September 2025.

Also in Q3 this year, PTS is launching a range of plushies for key characters Zig, Sharko and Marina for fans in Italy, and Snuggly Figs is introducing a new collection of sustainable clothing and accessories made from bamboo for kids and babies across Europe, the US, Canada, Latin America, MENA, India and Thailand. Snuggly Figs is also launching new bamboo apparel for Xilam’s flagship brand Oggy and the Cockroaches.

For comedy series Space Goofs, Xilam is tapping into the nostalgia trend amongst young adults with new partnerships including apparel and games. This year, Manne & Co. partnered with innovative French artist Supraw and Uniqlo France to create artworks blending Supraw’s graphic universe with the world of Space Goofs – with the artworks printed on items for adults and kidults including t-shirts, sweatshirts and trousers.

Xilam is also expanding its partnership with French fashion retailer celio for a new collection of t-shirts and underwear for adults and kidults featuring Space Goofs, available in Q3 2025 in EMEA, Latin America and India. Trade Invaders is on board to develop Space Goofs gaming accessories in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, the US and Quebec for kidults and adults, as well as a Zig & Sharko board game, set to launch in 2026. Xilam is gearing up for the 30th anniversary of Space Goofs in 2027.

Additionally, Xilam has signed eco-friendly games company Topla to launch a card game for kids comedy series Buddybot, which will be available this year in Europe, Canada, Quebec, and the US.

Xilam is also developing a merchandising programme for preschool comedy series Piggy Builders, which is premiering in Europe and Canada this year, across toys, publishing, stationery, fashion & accessories.
