Anima 2026: Call for Entries Is Open!

Anima, the Brussels Animation Film Festival, will take place from 20 February to 1 March 2026 and will celebrate its 45th edition.

Anima, the Brussels Animation Film Festival, will take place from 20 February to 1 March 2026 and will celebrate its 45th edition. Submit your films now!

The winner of the Anima 2026 Grand Prix will automatically be included on the ACADEMY AWARD® longlist in the Best Animated Short Film category. British short films selected in one of our competitions are also eligible for the BAFTA Award for Best Short Animation.
Anima considers all films completed after June 2024 and belonging to the following categories as eligible for competition:
  • Feature Films
  • Feature Films for Children
  • International Professional Short Films
  • International Student Films
  • International Short Films for a Young Audience
  • National Short Films
