Projects can now be submitted for the 20th Animation Production Days (APD). The business platform for the European animation industry brings together producers and creatives with potential partners. The event is taking place in Stuttgart from 5–7 May 2026.
APD is the leading co-production and financing market in the German-speaking region and provides a platform for animation projects from across Europe and beyond. Around 180 participants come together to expand their networks, forge strategic alliances, and discuss current industry trends.
Submit Projects and Find Partners
Producers can submit their projects in the fields of film, TV series, mobile content, games, cross- and transmedia, as well as virtual reality, until 4 February 2026.
In one-to-one meetings, they can present their concepts to potential partners, including broadcasters, streamers, world sales companies, distributors, and funding institutions. The meetings are scheduled by the organizers based on the interests communicated in advance.

Promoting Young Talent: Apply Now for the Talent Programme!
The Talent Programme is aimed at young European producers and creator teams (maximum of two people) who are developing a promising animation project. Up to eight projects will be selected and receive free accreditation to APD as well as tickets for the ITFS and FMX. Accommodation costs will also be covered. The Investor Accreditation is designed for representatives of broadcasters, streamers, global sales agencies, funding institutions and distributors who are looking for new content. Stuttgart Animated Week: Three Events – One Platform
APD is part of the Stuttgart Animated Week which includes the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (5–10 May 2026) and FMX– Film and Media Exchange (On Site 5–7 May | Online & On Campus 8 May 2026). It brings almost 5,000 industry representatives to Stuttgart every year. Together, these three events provide the ideal platform to actively shape the future of the animation industry.
