As the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games approach, the animated series The GoGoPig, created by the Italian studio Maga Animation, returns to YouTube with a special mission: to celebrate the Olympic spirit and introduce winter sports through fun and two irresistible characters.
The Olympics are not just about competition, they are a symbol of dialogue between cultures. This is the heart of the project, which aims to bring children and families the values of sport through the universal language of animation.
The series, created and written by Massimo Carrier Ragazzi and Giulio Braga, has received several international awards and was even selected at the prestigious Annecy Festival on its debut. Today, it returns with a restyling designed for Cortina 2026, while preserving its original identity.
The GoGoPig tells the adventures of a cheerful pig passionate about sports and his eccentric, tireless coach, a green cat. With absurd methods, snacks as bait, and bold daydreams fueling his confidence to win every challenge, Mr. Cat pushes GoGoPig to try every sport in pursuit of gold medals. Driven by unstoppable imagination and determination, each episode becomes a hilarious mix of ambitious goals, crazy challenges, and surprising victories.
The Winter Session season, dedicated to winter sports, is at the center of this relaunch for Cortina 2026 and takes children on a journey through the most exciting winter disciplines—from ski jumping to bobsleigh, from ice hockey to figure skating—with a blend of sports culture, adrenaline and comedy. Alongside this, the series includes two other thematic seasons: Soccer Session, dedicated to football, and Classic Sports, which explores traditional Olympic disciplines.
Massimo Carrier Ragazzi, CEO of Maga Animation Studio, says:
“With The GoGoPig, we want to offer children not only the joy of animation but also values that guide them as they grow. The Olympics are a moment of cultural exchange, an opportunity to share experiences and discover the beauty of diversity. Sport teaches us to commit with curiosity and determination, to see every challenge as an opportunity. Success is not defined by victory, but by the ability to give your best and improve day by day.”
For the first time, GoGoPig will be available in three languages—Italian, English and Spanish—to reach children worldwide.
The return of GoGoPig follows the successful restyling for the Paris 2024 Olympics, when the series was relaunched in high definition. Cortina represents the next step: more languages, more content, more energy, bringing Italian animation to the world.
And for nearly 30 years, Maga Animation Studio has upheld a clear vision: animation is art, not automation. In an era where artificial intelligence invades the creative landscape, this is an ethical and cultural choice: every frame, every expression, every detail is the result of human talent and artisanal care, values that define Made in Italy.
