The Taiwan Pavilion stood out at ATF 2025, showcasing over 260 titles and generating strong interest from global buyers and partners.
Meeting tables at the booth stayed busy throughout the event, with exhibitors noting a clear uptick in both market awareness and appetite for Taiwanese IP. Buyers offered insight into the factors behind this momentum: Taiwan’s growing track record on international streaming platforms, a strong presence at global festivals, and the territory’s ability to deliver genre-forward, globally accessible stories.
A key highlight of December 3rd was Buyer’s Lunch: Taiwan Spotlight, which brought together over 200 international buyers and platform executives. The event featured presentations from Lusasa Animation, Xanthus Animation Studio, Flash Forward Entertainment, Brilliant Animation Studios, and True Fun Entertainment, unveiling exciting projects and showcasing Taiwan’s creative capabilities across animation and TV series.
TAICCA CEO Erica WANG remarked at the Buyer’s Lunch, highlighting the agency’s strategic push onto the global stage. She noted the growing international recognition of Taiwanese content and reaffirmed TAICCA’s commitment to connecting creators with global partners, driving co-productions, creative exchanges, and cross-border investment — and putting Taiwan’s vivid stories firmly on the international map.
TUNG Chen-yuan, Taiwan’s Representative to Singapore, joined the event in support of the delegation. He remarked that the strong turnout at the Buyers’ Lunch underscored the popularity of Taiwanese pop culture in Singapore.
He added that Taiwan’s unique dramas, films, and animation have had a lasting impact, with a loyal following in Singapore and Malaysia for more than 20 years. He highlighted the business opportunities for those interested in Taiwanese content and emphasized that the event presents a prime opportunity for forging new partnerships and collaborations.
The event quickly translated into tangible market traction. Fiona LO, CEO of True Fun Entertainment, noted that it provided a rare opportunity to connect with international partners that would be difficult to reach in Taiwan. She also highlighted the presence of multiple buyers from India, which led to unexpected and exciting opportunities.
CHEN Hsin-i, Founder and Producer of Lusasa Animation, shared that companies from India, Singapore, and Hong Kong proactively reached out for further discussions. She credited TAICCA’s international initiatives with effectively opening doors to global markets, enabling Taiwanese companies to engage with established industry players—something that was once a challenge.
Tintin LI, Producer at Brilliant Animation Studios, mentioned that follow-up discussions with several buyers are already underway, with hopes of turning these talks into tangible business opportunities.
