The 10th edition of MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo will take place in Rome from October 14 to 18, 2024 and we, as EAJ, are proud to announce that we’ll be covering the event as media partner.

AnyShow, International Animation Showcase is the MIA brand new and exclusive presentation event dedicated to high-end animated audiovisual projects for television, digital and theatrical distribution, moving forward from the Italian production and co-production to any international production and co-production, of any genre, expanding further on the global market.

Launched in 2022 as a response to a fast-growing industry and global interest, AnyShow (formerly simply Animation Showcase) has presented some of the most exciting and successful projects of animation coming from all over the world, intended for all audience targets and segments and open to all types of animation. Among the others, the animated features Chicken for Linda! (Linda veut du poulet !) by Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach, presented in competition at ACID Cannes and Annecy in 2023, where it won the Cristal for best feature film, and was the 2024 recipient of the César Prix for Best Animated Film; Claude Barras’s Sauvage! and the debut animated film of María Trénor, Rock Bottom (Spanish Screenings Showcase); the stop-motion preschool and family series The Sound Collector by Chris Tichborne, Barry J. C. Purves, from which the episode Panning for Sound was presented in TV series competition Annecy in 2023 and the whole series composed of 60 episodes is now available on AppleTV, narrated by Keira Knightley.

The event represents an exclusive appointment created for international producers of animation in order to present and promote their projects to potential buyers, executive producers, television networks, streaming platforms, and other key roles of the entertainment industry attending MIA 2024.

Submissions are open until September 9th (5pm CEST) for projects from any country and any animated style, presented by producers, creative talents, animation studios and/or broadcasters, and at any stage of production or post-production (projects in advanced stage of development are also welcome as long as production fundings have been confirmed).

Guidelines can be found HERE. For further information, please contact animationshowcase@miamarket.it
