It was only five years ago that the acronym FAST (Free Advertising-supported Streaming Television) emerged as an alternative to linear content television. DeAPlaneta Entertainment understood early on the potential of this new field to expand the possibilities for brands to reach their audience, and in 2020 launched its first FAST channel for children’s content on Samsung Spain and Italy, which was pioneering in these territories.

Some of the company’s most emblematic IPs, such as David the Gnome, Maya, Heidi, Willy Fog, Gormiti, Baby Heidi and Zoobabu, are available on all these platforms. DeAPlaneta Entertainment’s content will soon also be airing on Xiaomi Italy and Agile TV Spain and Italy.

Since 2021 DeAPlaneta Entertainment holds an agreement with Pluto TV Spain for the distribution of its own channels such as “Once Upon a Time” and series such as Gormiti. A partnership that has recently been renewed and extended, allowing the premiere of “Heidi and Marco” channel in Spain and “Gormiti” in Italy, to which new channels and territories will be added shortly. DeAPlaneta Entertainment also distributes the FAST “Kidz” channel on Atresmedia España’s Atresplayer platform.

Anna Campistol, Head of Digital at DeAPlaneta Entertaiment, said:

At DeAPlaneta Entertainment we had a strong belief in the disruptive potential of the FAST market and its ability to transform the consumption of children’s content from the very beginning. We are convinced that this model will be key to the future of television, and our ambition is to continue to lead this growth, expanding into new territories and platforms to deliver more accessible and personalized entertainment experiences globally.

Internationally, the company’s IPs are available in North America through Tubi, Roku and Prime Video Direct, which will soon be joined by more prominent platforms in the territory. Additionally, DeAPlaneta Entertainment holds an agreement with Kidoodle TV, a Canadian platform specialized in children’s content, which has joined the FAST offer through Samsung in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Vizio in the USA and Canada, and globally on Plex and Vidaa/Hisense. In Europe, DeAPlaneta Entertainment distributes several of its titles in the German market through the “StoryZoo & Friends” channel on JOYN and Samsung TV Plus and on the Waipu TV platform.

This range of options and territories will grow in the coming weeks and months, following the already consolidated disruption that FAST TV has meant for the configuration of a personalised entertainment offer for all types of audiences.
