A Lamb’s Stew is the first original Special developed by La Cabane and Thuristar. The companies have produced several Mush Mush Specials previously, including The Guardian of the Forest, which was nominated for an International Emmy® Award in 2021.
For this 3D animated Special created and directed by Joeri Christiaen and produced by Perrine Gauthier, the two co-producers can count on the talent of Andy Serkis, T’Nia Miller and Iris Onyejiuwa in the lead roles.

Actor Andy Serkis, best known for his iconic roles as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and Caesar in Planet of the Apes, as well as his performances in The Batman and Black Panther, lends his voice to the character of the Wolf. He joins the cast of this modern tale, which includes T’Nia Miller in the role of Miss Shearlington, and 11-year-old Iris Onyejiuwa in the role of Billie the young lamb.

The two actresses had already played these characters in the TEASER of the film, which was unveiled at Cartoon Forum 2024 where the project sparked a lot of enthusiasm.
T’Nia Miller is renowned for her roles in Sex Education, Years and Years, The Diplomat, and The Peripheral.

Upcoming talent Iris Onyejiuwa is making her acting debut in A Lamb’s Stew. Other cast members include Keith Wickham, Harriet Carmichael, Tibby Radcliffe, Hal Radcliffe and Mackenzie Bruce-Lockhart.
Joeri Christiaen, writer, director and artistic director of A Lamb’s Stew, said:
Andy Serkis’ work, particularly on Caesar in Planet of the Apes, was a source of inspiration for writing the character of the Wolf – although I didn’t dare imagine that he would one day play the role. As for T’Nia Miller, the quality of her performance in the teaser led me to make Miss Shearlington a central character in the story. I’m equally honoured to be working with Iris Onyejiuwa, who is playing her very first role in the film.
The 26’ film tells the story of Billie, a young lamb determined to prove that sheep are just as brave as other animals. Billie sets out to lure a wolf into a trap, only to discover that he isn’t the monster she thought he was… Through her journey, the film questions how preconceived ideas shape our worldviews. It invites viewers to embrace individuality… and to not judge a sheep by its wool, nor a wolf by its fur.
Produced in open-source software Blender, the Special is helmed by Joeri Christiaen (Mush-Mush, My Knight and Me) as director and art director. Joeri Christiaen is also the film’s scriptwriter; he worked alongside Claire Paoletti (Shoom’s Odyssey) as story consultant during the project’s initial development phase, and Julia Smuts Louw (Star Wars: Visions – Aau’s Song and The Smeds and the Smoos) as Script Editor for the final script.
