Ánima Kitchent has announced the renewal of its long-standing partnership with leading Turkish children’s channel Minika for the popular preschool series Cleo & Cuquín.

The renewed agreement, now extended for an additional four-year term reaffirms the continued success of the animated series in Turkey.  Minika originally licensed Seasons 1 and 2 of Cleo & Cuquín in 2021 and dubbed the show into Turkish for TV broadcast.  Under the new deal Minika will retain the rights to both seasons confirming the show’s continued popularity with Turkish audiences.

As part of the expanded agreement, Minika has also acquired 30 episodes of the spin-off series Cuquín: Discover & Explore.  Initially released as digital-first content, this marks the first time that these episodes will be broadcast on Turkish television and VOD platforms, significantly expanding the brand’s presence in the region.

Anima Kitchent will deliver the new episodes in English with Turkish dubbing handled locally by Minika.  The updated agreement secures broadcast and digital rights for Cleo & Cuquín Seasons 1 and 2, as well as Cuquin: Discover & Explore for a four-year term.

Elçin Koyuncu, Chief Content Editor at Minika said:

“At Minika Çocuk & Minika GO, we are dedicated to curating content that truly connects with audiences, and Cleo and Cuquín is a shining example of that vision. Its renewal marks not just a continuation of broadcast rights, but a reaffirmation of our belief in stories that nurture imagination and bring families together.  We’re delighted to see this exceptional series remain a cornerstone of our programming.  Alongside the beloved Cleo and Cuquín, the new addition Cuquín: Discover & Explore further enriches our lineup, inviting children to learn, play, and grow through discovery-driven adventures.”

Miguel Aldasoro, International Sales and Co-production Director at Ánima Kitchent added, “We are delighted to renew our collaboration with Minika, a partner that has been instrumental in bringing Cleo & Cuquín to Turkish families.  This extended partnership not only highlights the strong connection the show has built with audiences in Turkey but also opens a new chapter with the introduction of Cuquín: Discover & Explore to TV and VOD for the very first time. We look forward to continuing to grow the brand’s presence together and to sharing many more adventures with children and their families in the region.”
