Toril Kove‘s new short documentary Maybe Elephants (17′) has been selected for the short film competition program amongst other 30 films selected between over 3,400 projects submitted.
Maybe Elephants, a co-production between the National Film Board of Canada and Mikrofilm, produced by Lise Fearnley and Tonje Skar Reiersen, is a self-biographical and playful look at family life, adolescence, and the therapeutic power of our memories, regardless of how reliable they are.

In the Commissioned Film competition program, the minute-long film DOA 2023, directed by John Christian Ferner Apalnes and produced by Jakob Thommessen for Animationdept, is participating.
The new animated feature film Spermageddon, a story that revolves around the sperm cell Simen and his quest for the greatest of all – the fantastic egg – will be screen in the Midnight Specials program dedicated to films the festival characterized as wild and unexpected. The film is directed by Tommy Wirkola and Rasmus A. Sivertsen, and produced by 74 Entertainment by Jørgen Storm Rosenberg and Kjetil Omberg.
